What Is Casein Coagula?

by John

Casein Coagula is a hypoallergenic dairy protein used in alternative milk diets and other specialized diets for individuals with milk allergy. The proteins in casein are hydrolyzed and then the casein peptides are isolated. A variety of casein containing foods are available, including milk and cheese. This dairy product is usually sold as a powder or in a paste form. The cream, when applied topically, produces a cooling and thickening effect that eases the stomach and digestive process.

Casein Coagula is made from a range of soy proteins that include tofu, casein hydrolysate, and lecithin. All of these ingredients are hydrolyzed to produce the distinctive white and yellow color. This milk is used to substitute skim milk or soy milk in infants formulas and also used to treat people with milk allergy to cow’s milk. It is used frequently in United States by lactose intolerant individuals who want a low-fat or skim milk substitute.

Casein Coagula is frequently marketed as a dietary supplement because it contains a variety of healthy proteins, including those essential to good health. For example, casein hydrolysate is known to be beneficial for promoting the production of collagen, the body’s natural fibrous protein; reduces cholesterol levels; helps the body utilize calcium and magnesium; and aids in digestion. The hydrolyzed casein curds provide an extended release of protein that is ideal for post-workout recovery.

To make casein, the milk protein of bovine is processed in stages to yield three grades of casein: whey protein concentrate, casein protein concentrate, and egg white casein. Whey protein concentrate is the highest grade and has about two times the amount of calcium that is contained in cow’s milk. Casein proteins derived from bovine milk are most commonly used to manufacture dietary supplements. Some casein supplements are also made from soybean casein hydrolysate that is a more economical choice compared to the whey protein concentrate.

Casein is commonly sold in four to six ounce cartons. Many brands contain casein hydrolysate, which is the active ingredient. Several brands sell powder that can be added to milkshakes and other drinks. Kraft singles are popular suppliers of Casein. Kraft singles are known for its high quality concentrated proteins and they are manufactured in the United States and are distributed throughout the world.

To obtain the maximum biological value of the cheese, add no less than twenty percent whey, casein, or caseinate to the curd when preparing it for market. Some people prefer to buy curds in bulk, since it is cheaper and can be stored for a longer period of time. Adding a dash of yogurt will add an additional nutritional benefit, as well as provide additional taste and variety for food.
